Payment Policy

This payment policy outlines the terms and conditions for payments made to Tex’s Computer Repair (TCR Business Services LLC) for services rendered. By engaging our services, you agree to the following payment terms.

Pricing & Estimates

  • In-Shop Repair: Average labor cost is $100-$250 depending on the complexity of the repair. Estimates are provided before work begins.
  • Onsite Service: $125 per hour, with a one hour minimum. Travel outside Farmington is $75 per hour, billed from the time we leave for the job, and some places may be a flat rate.
  • Remote Support: $100 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments.
  • Virus & Malware Removal: $175 flat fee for in-shop repair (does not include parts).
  • Data Recovery: $50 evaluation fee. Recovery fees range from $150-$400 depending on complexity, charged only upon successful recovery.
  • Structured Cabling: $145/hour for 1-2 drops, $125/hour for 2-10 drops. Flat per-drop pricing available for 10+ drops.
  • Copier & Printer Service: $95/hour onsite, $125 flat fee in-shop for small personal printers.

Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
  • Debit cards
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay, when discussed and agreed on beforehand
  • Checks, only from business customers we have agreed to receive a check from
  • Bank transfers / ACH (for business clients on managed service plans)

When Payment Is Due

  • In-Shop Repairs: Payment is due in full upon completion and pickup of your device. We will not release the device until payment is received.
  • Onsite Services: Payment is due at the completion of each onsite visit.
  • Remote Support: Payment is due before the remote session.
  • Business Clients: Payment is typically due at the time of service. Recurring clients are handled case by case in their service agreement.
  • Parts: Any parts required for repairs must be paid for in full before ordering. Special-order parts are non-refundable.

Data Recovery

Data recovery starts with a $50 evaluation fee. You only pay the recovery fee if we successfully recover your data. A minimum amount is discussed with you before we attempt recovery, and all fees are due at pickup.

Late Payments

For business clients on invoiced terms, payments received after the due date may be subject to a 1.5% monthly late fee. Services may be suspended for accounts more than 30 days past due until the balance is brought current.

Refunds

  • Labor Charges: If we are unable to resolve your issue, you will not be charged for labor, but a diagnostic fee applies, typically $75, decided case by case.
  • Parts: Parts are non-returnable once installed. Defective parts may be warrantied under the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
  • Data Recovery: No recovery fee if recovery is unsuccessful. The $50 evaluation fee still applies.
