Not in a hurry? Ask about Snail Service, mostly for cleanups and other software jobs. If you can leave the machine with us longer, up to a month, we will quote you a lower price up front. Same work, same care, just more time.
Reviews
From people who brought one in
5 out of 5 stars
Tex did a great job of helping me back up a dying MacBook Pro with a dangerously bulging Lithium-ion battery that Apple so generously glues in so it can’t be easily and safely replaced. He put it in a smoker in his garage in case it blew up and recovered my data.

Tex was great, we really enjoyed working with him. He is easy to work with, easy to get a hold of and did a great job. Got all the stuff we needed off our non working computer over to a new one. He was quick too. Highly recommend.

I have a used MacBook that I needed help setting up, Tex’s Computer helped me get it up and running. The timeframe was fast, the results were great, and the price was reasonable! 5-Stars!

Questions
Straight answers
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, every time. We are often out at customer sites or in remote sessions, so a set time means someone is at the shop to meet you when you arrive.
Why is the address not listed?
The shop runs by appointment, so we send the address with your confirmed time. That way you never make the drive while we are out on a service call.
Can you get files off a dead drive?
It depends on what failed. It starts with a $50 evaluation. We tell you honestly what the chances are and what the recovery would cost, and you decide from there.
Windows 10 support ended. Now what?
Windows 10 keeps working after support ends, and you have real options. Microsoft now offers security updates for home computers through October 12, 2027, a year later than the date it first gave, so older advice may still say October 2026. If your computer was already signed up, Microsoft says the extra year is automatic. If it wasn’t, signing up can be free. From there you can stay on Windows 10 for now, move to Windows 11 if your computer can take it, or replace the machine. We can check where your computer stands and help you pick the one that makes sense, honestly.
